WARSAW—With less than a week to go before Poland’s presidential election, the incumbent was set to board a jet Tuesday night to visit a city crucial to his reelection: Washington.

Andrzej Duda is counting on a White House meeting with President Trump on Wednesday to give him a boost at the polls in what has become a close race, say members of Law and Justice, the conservative-nationalist party that has backed Mr. Duda’s presidency.
